I am a native Michigander and Georgia transplant of 17 plus years. I have a Masters in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University and a Special Events and Program Planning Certification from Clayton State University. I am a Christian, married to an amazing Man of God, and Mom to the cutest Rottweiler you could ever lay your eyes on. I absolutely adore cookies, coffee, cardigans, and all things ROMANTIC.
The reason why I pursued a career in Medical Social Work, started when I visited my late Aunt in the hospital when I was attending undergraduate school at Eastern Michigan University. My first encounter with a Social Worker was at the hospital where my aunt was in ICU, it was not a pleasant experience. I remember leaving the hospital feeling sad about the how my family was treated by the Social Worker and hoped that no other family would have to face a similar experience. I immediately changed my major when I returned back to school, and was so grateful that I did. I so enjoy being a blessing by providing support and assistance to others.
I had a similar encounter with a Wedding Planner and I kept saying to myself, no one should be made to feel less than special when planning their special day. You hire a Wedding Planner to take the stress away, not add to it. I know firsthand that life comes with ups and downs; however, those victorious overcoming moments I believe should be celebrated with elegance, style, and grace. That is exactly why I have been planning events for most of my adult life. However, because of an awesome opportunity Worrell Events came into existence October 2013 and it has been such an amazing experience.
It is truly and honor and privilege to be a planner for couples who have found the one whom their soul loves (Song of Solomon 3:4). I look forward to working with you and getting to know your story, so an extraordinary experience can be created just for you!
